Rett Syndrome (RS) is a rare neurological disorder resulting from a defect in the MECP2 gene.

Rett Syndrome is significantly more prevalent in females but can affect males in a more challenging way. Despite the difficulties with symptoms, many individuals with Rett Syndrome continue to live well into middle age and beyond.
